There’s an SEO tutorial in the To Do section of your Point2 Agent online office area.
While this is a great tool for agents wanting to do their own website optimization, there are some confusing numbers in there that I wanted to point out to you…
SEO TITLE SECTION – they mention there’s a ** Maximum of 200 characters.
PLEASE NOTE this is not the “recommended” maximum number of characters to be considered “search engine friendly” – it’s the number of characters allowed before it will not let you continue adding any more words.
The number of characters to use in order to be search engine friendly is between 60-70 characters – not 200 characters.
Same scenario in the SEO Description section.
The maximum number of characters to be search engine friendly is between 100-150 – not 400 characters.
And with the SEO Keywords section, Google hasn’t focused on keywords for many years now, but some other search engines do still factor them somewhat, so same thing…
Keep it between 150-200 characters to stay search engine friendly, not 1000 characters. I tell clients just to copy/paste the SEO title into this section and not to dwell on it.
There’s no explanation for those two asterisks (**) next to the maximum characters, so I honestly don’t know why those are there.
Next is the SEO Options section in your website for Google Analytics, you can use the field referenced to insert your UA number.
